Raspberry Pink Plant Dyed Botanical Print Silk Scarf
Experience the softness of silk and the beauty of nature with this naturally dyed scarf!
This unique silk scarf has been dyed using roots from the madder plant and natural cochineal dye, creating a gorgeous deep pink background. It was then printed with real alder, walnut, maple and sweetgum leaves, creating lighter orange and pink leaf prints.
To make the leaf prints on this scarf, real leaves were gathered and bundled with the fabric making each scarf completely one of a kind. Through an eco friendly process, the natural pigments in the leaves were permanently transferred to the silk fabric. Colors are permanent and this scarf is hand washable. Printing fabric with the natural pigments of real leaves is an environmentally friendly process known as "eco printing" or "botanical dyeing." No synthetic inks, dyes or pigments are used. The fabric is 100% silk charmeuse. It is slightly textured, with a beautiful sheen on the front and a matte finish on the reverse. Leaf prints are visible on both sides but are more vibrant on the front. Colors are permanent and this scarf is washable.
You will receive the exact scarf shown in the photos. All scarves come packaged in a box with an information and care sheet included.
