Naturally Dyed Merino Wool Scarf, Eucalyptus Eco Print
This merino wool wrap is soft, lightweight, and super cozy to wear. It is hand dyed with all natural dyes and printed with the pigments from real leaves. It is hand washable and can be worn in a variety of ways.
This luxurious merino wool scarf has been printed with the natural pigments of real leaves in an environmentally friendly process known as "eco printing" or "botanical dyeing." No synthetic inks, dyes or pigments are used. You can learn more about my eco printing process here: https://www.cedardellforestfarm.com/eco-printing/
Real eucalyptus leaves were bundled with the fabric to create this unique piece of wearable art. The eucalyptus leaves have left beautiful red-orange prints. The edges of the scarf are gray with just a hint of purple. It was dyed with a variety of plant dyes, mixed to create this beautiful, unique color. I rolled the fabric before dyeing it so the dye only permeated the edges, and did so in a way that left swirls of variegated color behind. The short ends have a criss-cross of white stripes left from the string I tied the bundle with. It is truly one-of-a-kind!
The fabric is soft and light and has a subtle diagonal pattern in the weave. The short ends are unfinished leaving a natural small fringe. It is generously sized and can be spread out and worn as a shawl or scrunched up and worn as a scarf. It is easily long enough to wrap around your neck several times. You will receive the exact scarf shown in the photos. All scarves come packaged in a box with an information and care sheet included.

Eco-Printing requires the application of heat and pressure to fabric, often resulting in a more textured appearance of the fabric. While small wrinkles in the fabric may ease over time, they are a semi-permanent feature of the eco-printing process.
