This beautiful yellow scarf has been dyed with the colors and beauty of nature! It is a one-of-a-kind accessory perfect for any nature lover.

I gathered real leaves and bundled them with the fabric. After heating it, they leave their permanent prints behind, making each scarf a unique work of natural art.

This silk scarf was dyed with a plant called weld to create a golden-yellow background with just a hint of green. It has some brown speckling and beautifully frame the yellow leaf prints. The leaf prints are made by alder, maple, oak, walnut, and wild geranium leaves.

The process of printing fabric with the natural pigments of real leaves is known as "eco printing" or "botanical dyeing." No synthetic inks, dyes or pigments are used. You can learn more about my eco printing process here: https://www.cedardellforestfarm.com/eco-printing/

This scarf is made from silk charmeuse, a mid-weight fabric with a luxurious drape. It has a lovely shine on the front and is more matte on the reverse. Leaf prints can bee seen on both sides, though they are more vibrant on the front. It look beautiful no matter how it folds and drapes!

You will receive the exact scarf shown in the photos. It comes packaged in a box with an information and care sheet.

Size:

14 X 72 inches (35.5 X 183 cm)

Materials:

100% silk

Care & Handling:

- Gently hand wash.

- Use mild soaps.

- No tumble dry. Hang or lay flat to dry.

- Iron using silk settings.

Eco-Printing requires the application of heat and pressure to fabric, often resulting in a more textured appearance of the fabric. While small wrinkles in the fabric may ease over time, they are a semi-permanent feature of the eco-printing process.
