This beautiful blue silk scarf has been dyed using natural indigo dye and the natural pigments of real leaves. It is as unique as the leaves it was made from and is the perfect compliment to any outfit. All colors are permanent and washable so it is a lovely memento of the natural world that will last for years to come.

Real leaves are gathered and bundled with the fabric, making each scarf completely one of a kind. This scarf was dyed dark blue using natural indigo dye. Leaf prints were made from Japanese maple, alder, and wild geranium leaves. The prints are from the leaves' own pigments and are a dark brown, gray, and green.

The process of printing fabric with real leaves is known as "eco printing" or "botanical dyeing." No synthetic inks, dyes or pigments are used. You can learn more about my ecoprinting process here: https://www.cedardellforestfarm.com/eco-printing/

This scarf is a type of 100% silk called silk charmeuse. It is very soft and has a beautiful shine on the front side, while the back is matte. Colors and leaf prints show on both sides, though leaf prints are strongest on the front.

You will receive the exact scarf shown in the photos. It comes packaged in a box with an information and care sheet.

Size:

11 X 60 inches (28 X 152 cm)

100% silk

Care & Handling:

- Gently hand wash
