Blue Botanical Print, Plant Dyed Silk Scarf
Natural indigo dye and prints from real leaves make this luxurious silk scarf a wearable work of art!
To make the leaf prints, real leaves were gathered and bundled with the fabric making each scarf completely one of a kind. Through an eco friendly process, the natural pigments in the leaves were permanently transferred to the silk fabric.

This silk scarf has prints from Japanese maple, alder, and geranium leaves. Prints are varying shades of gold and pale green. The beautiful blue background comes from natural indigo dye. All colors are permanent, washable, and come right from nature!
This process of printing with the leaves' own pigments is known as "ecoprinting" or "botanical dyeing." No synthetic inks, dyes or pigments are used. You can learn more about my ecoprinting process here: https://www.cedardellforestfarm.com/eco-printing/
The fabric of this scarf is luxurious silk charmeuse. The front side has a beautiful sheen while the reverse is matte. The coloring shows though on both sides, though the leaf prints are stronger on the front.
You will receive the exact scarf shown in the photos.

Eco-Printing requires the application of heat and pressure to fabric, often resulting in a more textured appearance of the fabric. While small wrinkles in the fabric may ease over time, they are a semi-permanent feature of the eco-printing process.
